Caring for your mind is as important as caring for your body. But while the path to physical fitness is clear (diet, stretching, exercise), there’s surprisingly little guidance when it comes to our minds. The Mind Company is changing that by creating the tools we need to give our minds their daily due. With two wildly successful apps under their belt, Elevate (brain games) and Balance (meditation), the team at Elevate Labs approached us to create a brand that could tell the bigger story. The engagement was far reaching: strategy, naming, visual and verbal identity, web design, copywriting, and a brand sprint 6 months later to help them launch their next app, Spark (coming soon).

What if we gave our minds more than just a daily cup of coffee? What if we took care of our brains the way we do our bodies? These were the kinds of questions that our project team seemed to be asking constantly. That singular passion—really, an obsession—with the mind became the center of our brand strategy and the driving force behind our laser-focused name for the new parent company: The Mind Company.
Building on our new name and strategy, we went all out on a brand identity that makes mental fitness fun, accessible, and energizing. The visual system is as delightfully colorful as the mind itself. It all stems from an abstract brain logo mark, which becomes a framing device, a texture, and a flexible language that unifies two very distinct existing apps. The verbal identity is full of play too, with a bold, kinetic type and messaging system designed to get your mind moving. Finally, we commissioned illustrations from Calvin Sprague to add a conceptual layer to the brand and bring the whole system together brilliantly.
Mental fitness a new concept for most people, so The Mind Company website is made to inform and inspire in equal measure. Folks can learn by doing with quick access to the apps or explore the robust library of research and resources to dive in deeper. Throughout, we incorporated short, punchy copy and bold brand moments to build momentum and get your mind moving.
