Goodside is 3!

Every year we take a moment to reflect on the work we did, what we’ve learned, and how we’ve grown. This year, we decided not to talk about ourselves at all—or, at least, not so much. Instead, we've opted to shine our light on our clients. Goodside only exists because of the people who trust us at the earliest, messiest, most ambitious stages of what they’re building. We’re deeply grateful for their trust and deeply proud of their outcomes. They had a big year, too!

There's something special about the three year mark. It's long enough that the brands we've built have had time to really stretch their legs and step into their own. We’ve had a front row seat to some pretty cool stuff. We’ve watched our favorite companies raise funds, launch products, open new locations, and land in places we never could have predicted. For us, some of the greatest joys of this work have come well after the Figma files were closed and the guidelines were written. Here are just a few of the highlights from last year:

We’ve watched companies we helped shape go on to raise meaningful funding (*for those keeping score, this is the ROI story folks*). And in the case of our VC clients, we’ve watched them distribute that funding to some really, really cool companies:

Superorganism raised $25M to back biodiversity startups who are literally changing the world.

Radial raised $50M led by General Catalyst to rethink mental health care and meet people where they are.

Spero Ventures announces Spero Fund II, LP: a $125M Fund for the purposeful.

We’ve watched ideas turn into products that people love:

The Mind Company launched a new app that quickly became the #1 education app in the App Store, and cracked the top charts overall.

Ditto launched Qalico, expanding from sustainability into medical regulatory monitoring and compliance. And they already have 500 customers!

We’ve seen our clients recognized for their immense talents and boundary pushing work:

Follow Architecture was featured in the pages of Dwell and named an inaugural member of Luxe Next 2026.

Semple Brown was on an episode of America ByDESIGN, had worked featured in House Beautiful Magazine, and was honored with the CBCA 2026 Arts & Business Partnership Award.

We’ve watched brands become a part of people’s everyday lives:

Desnudo is everywhere in Austin in the best way. They’ve done an incredible job rolling out the brand across 4 locations (and still growing!) We love seeing Desnudo hats and cups on the sidewalks of Austin.

Maison Nico announced their second location, expanding into San Anselmo in Marin County.

Primer has opened more than 10 microschools across Florida, Alabama, Arizona, and Texas. They also won the 2024 YASS Prize, which we're told is like the Pulitzer of Education.

Asado’s Taqueria continues to go viral

We’ve seen companies evolve, merge, and begin new chapters:

Hypercomply was acquired by SecurityScorecard to continue to help accelerate security questionnaires so they can partner with confidence

Kinside joined forces with UrbanSitter to build a full suite of solutions for families navigating childcare.

Astro got acquired by Cloudflare to continue building out the best framework for lightning-fast content-driven websites.

And we’ve seen stories resonate deeply:

Storyworth continues to help people capture the stories that matter most. This video made us tear up.

Three years in, we’re feeling very lucky to be a part of these journeys. We get to be there at the very beginning, imagining the possibilities alongside our founders, and watching them create magic for years to come.

To everyone we've worked with: thank you for trusting us with your vision, for letting us in before your story was written, and for caring as much as you do about how you show up in the world.

We're really proud to be in your corner.

On to year four.

Endless yellow hearts,
Goodside
